Verbena bonariensis

Vervain

Verbena bonariensis is widely used in gardening for its tall, airy structure, providing vertical interest in borders without blocking views. Its main uses include mass planting for dramatic purple drifts, attracting pollinators (bees, butterflies, hummingbirds), and adding a "see-through" effect in cottage or prairie-style gardens. Excellent for use in airy, informal bouquets.

Naturalistic & Wildlife Gardening: Its ability to self-seed makes it ideal for wildlife gardens, meadow-style plantings, and naturalized areas.

Structural Vertical Element: It pairs well with other perennials (e.g., Echinacea, Salvia, Ornamental Grasses), acting as a, filler or adding a whimsical, informal feel to sunny, dry to well-drained soils.
